The Lake Waramaug Community

in the New Preston District

of the Town of Washington, CT

Lake Waramaug is pristine, and totally accessible to Flirtation Avenue residents.

Lisa, Washington/New Preston's Park and Recreation Coordinator

discusses Lake Waramaug's boat ramp:

As a New Preston/Washington resident, you have boat ramp rights.  For an

annual fee of $25. and a beginning season boat inspection of $5., you have access to Lake Waramaug
(power boats and sail boats).  Great location for you as the boat ramp is just to the right of Shore Road
(the main street) and Flirtation Avenue's intersection.  You can see the town beach from the stop sign at
Flirtation Avenue, and the boat ramp is immediately to the right of the town beach. We will provide you with a

New Preston/Washington street detailed map which shows the boat ramp, and give you the

New Preston/Washington's 85-page Town Guide which has all details you will ever need of the Town.

Quite the Town; quite the property with views!

Here is the Town Beach in the wintertime.

The nearby Lake Waramaug Country Club has beautiful lake views from the golf course.

As well as from the club house restaurant.

From 26 and 32 Flirtation Avenue, one can walk to the lake, or to the New Preston shops and restaurants.

A short drive to the Hopkins Inn Winery or the Boulders Inn.

Town Hall in Washington Depot serves Flirtation Avenue citizens.

The Shepaug Valley Middle School and High School in Washington,

serve the students of Washington, Bridgewater and Roxbury.

And Washington has such low tax rates (with a 2009-2010 mil rate of only 10.5, down from 13.0) for the great town that it is.

Here's what we pay, with a cartoon from The New Yorker magazine attached below:
